Major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN are the most powerful and best method. I have a blog on “computer tips and tricks”; I used to get around 100+ unique visitors from Google daily and more from other sources.
So try to submit your all blogs to these major search engines. Write good quality content and update frequently. Although it will take some time but once it is listed in top 5 pages of search engines, you will start to see increase in flow of your traffic.
2. Social Networking
This is the second largest one. The social networking like twitter, mybloglog, entrecard, myspace, facebook etc bring lots of targeted traffic to your blog.
Try to join each of the above mentioned social networking sites and visit other bogs and share opinions with them, you will surely get targeted visitors in return.
3. Commenting on other blog
Commenting is still one of the best methods. While visiting other bog of your niche/theme. If you like their posts, do leave them a quality comment. They will surely visit you back and leave a comment which may turn to regular visitors. Commenting also sometimes helps on getting incoming links and increases your technorati authority and Page Rank.
4. Exchange of Links
You have to get more exposure to get more visitors. So exchanging links helps in this case. Exchange links can be of three types.

This is what I am doing to attract visitors to my blog. Even most of the big webmasters implement this and get tons of visitors daily.
