Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 2) DVD Review

Nominated for 20 Emmys and winner of a Golden Globe for Best Television Series (Musical or Comedy), Curb Your Enthusiasm is one of the more clever and hilarious shows on TV. The HBO original series is the brainchild of Seinfeld co-creator and writer Larry David, whose life maintains a peculiar resemblance to the quasi-fictional George Costanza. And just like George Costanza and his neurotically-low self-esteem (i.e. “God doesn’t want me to be successful), Curb Your Enthusiasm propagates a Murphy’s Law theme of “what can go wrong will go wrong”. It’s a true-to-life reality show about nothing in which every episode is certain to cause comedy connoisseurs everywhere to tremble in enthusiastic anticipation…

Curb Your Enthusiasm centers around the actual life of Larry David - post-Seinfeld and living the high life in Los Angeles. Just like Larry’s other successful TV venture, the show doesn’t focus entirely on plot, instead following the mundane and routine adventures of a famous Hollywood insider. And just like his alter-ego George Constanza, Larry often witnesses simple acts and gestures on his part snowball into a series of misunderstandings and embarrassing situations. Accompanying Larry on his daily adventures are his wife Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) and his manager Jeff Greene (Jeff Garlin) as well as a host of Hollywood and Broadway celebrities who make regular guest appearances… Blurring the line between fiction and reality, Curb Your Enthusiasm is the perfect sequel to Seinfeld. In a nutshell, it’s a glimpse of what would’ve been had Jerry and George’s pilot been picked up by NBC (which ultimately raises the question - who wouldn’t love a show about a man sentenced to be another man’s butler?)…

The Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 2) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere “The Car Salesman” in which Larry shocks his friends and family by deciding to take on a job as a car salesman. Meanwhile, Cheryl and Larry purchase a seaside holiday home from Jason Alexander’s agent only to learn that the abode comes with its own disturbing “house sound,” and Larry contemplates launching a new TV series with Jason chronicling the life of an unemployed typecast actor… Other notable episodes from Season 2 include “The Shrimp Incident” in which Larry comes to believe that an HBO executive stole some shrimp from his Chinese takeout order, and “Shaq” in which Larry earns the wrath of L.A. when he inadvertently trips Shaquille O’Neal at a Lakers game…

Below is a list of episodes included on the Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 2) DVD:

Episode 11 (The Car Salesman) Air Date: 09-23-2001
Episode 12 (Thor) Air Date: 09-30-2001

How Does Affiliate Marketing Works?

With the internet, you can get almost anything at the click of a mouse. There is tons of data and information out there on all subjects or topics. And the Internet continues to affect how we operate on a daily basis. People use it for everything from entertainment to education. So it is not a stretch to the imagination to see that there are great financial possibilities for the entrepreneur.

Its not only for the professional business types, any individual can make money without a traditional company. You don’t need products to sell. How is this possible? Affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing works when a merchant gets an affiliate to promote his service or product. The affiliate shares some of the revenue. This scheme is an efficient way of getting profit for the merchant it also pays for the affiliate and the affiliate network.

The merchant benefits by having someone else spend the time and money advertising and encouraging customers to buy the product. He also benefits though the variety of markets the products can be reached using different affiliates. And his sales may be increased through word of mouth rather than other costly endeavors. The affiliate benefits by getting a commission of each sale he makes. If a consumer clicks on the merchant’s link on the affiliate website and buys the product or service, then the affiliate may get percentage of the sale.

To become a successful affiliate, you must first figure out what you are interested in. What are you passionate about? You will have to build a website around your subject and be informative about the topic. It would also help to make your site unique.

Then look for a merchant that pays well for products or services related to your area of interest. While making these decisions you may want to think about the conversion rate of visitors becoming buyers. Browse through the various affiliate networks to find out which products work for you.

After choosing the area, the products you would like to use and setting up your website, you will have to address the issue of traffic to your site. This is important if you are to make any kind of money. For example, if you are selling expensive items it is possible to make a lot of money very quickly but high ticket products may be harder to sell. To help with promotion and marketing do some research online and purchase books about the subject.

Planning to Travel Abroad? Leave These Items at Home!

Anyone who travels regularly is aware of luggage and carry-on restrictions post 9-11. However, if you travel abroad, there are other considerations to keep in mind. No foreign country wants undesirable insects, rodents, or diseases to infiltrate their population via border crossings.

Before reading further, remember that if you have outstanding police warrants or a criminal record, you should probably forget about foreign travel. Period.

* What NOT to Take With You *

Regulations vary by country. The snacks you pack for a domestic flight may not pass customs inspection for an overseas destination. Start with a good dose of ‘common sense’ and you will quickly realize why most of the items on the following list are not permitted:

- Beer, wine, or other alcoholic beverages that have been opened

- Pets without appropriate vaccination certificates

- Native wildlife

- Weapons - or toys and other items that look like weapons

- Big game bagged while on your safari or hunting trip

- Prescription drugs without an accompanying doctor’s prescription

- Drugs, vitamins, or nutritional supplements with unreadable labels

- Illegal drugs or paraphernalia - *DEATH PENALTY* in some countries

- Potted houseplants, seeds, soil, pebbles, or sand

- Natural products like seashells, pieces of coral reef, whalebone

- Uncooked pork, poultry, beef, and other meat or animal products

- Unprocessed or uncooked vegetables, fruits, tubers, roots, etc.

- Hay, straw, oats, and similar items

- Any other natural products that may harbor diseases or pests

- Fireworks and incendiary devices

- Clothing and souvenirs manufactured with any of the above products

Some prohibited articles may be allowed with appropriate permits or certification. If you don’t know for sure - don’t pack them or bring them back home with you.

* What you MUST Take With You *

Imagine your chagrin should you go through customs on your return trip and discover that you must pay duty on your laptop computer, digital camera, and jewelry - even though you purchased them in your own country prior to your trip. Yes, it can - and does - happen. Protect yourself!

Pack copies of documents such as sales receipts, credit card statements, insurance policies, and appraisals for all valuable items to prove ownership and purchase date - especially for anything that looks like new.

No receipts or paperwork? Take a picture of each item next to a newspaper that plainly displays a readable date. Note the serial number(s) with each photo. Keep all photos and paperwork in a safe place along with your passport and other important documents. They will be invaluable when you fill in customs declarations - both leaving and returning.

* Do Your Homework *

Spend some time doing research on the internet before you travel. You should be able to find a government or embassy website that provides the regulations online. Do searches such as:

- customs regulations France

- customs regulations Spain

- customs regulations Brazil

- customs regulations USA

Advance investigation may save you considerable time, money, and effort as you pass through each border crossing.

Be aware! The resulting peace of mind will make your holiday much more enjoyable.

Car Financing

One of the biggest decisions you will have to make when it comes to buying a new car is how you are going to get the money to pay for it. The majority of people will have to think about finance options in order to make the purchase and when it comes to car financing there are many ways you can choose to go.

One of the most popular ways that many people choose to take when it comes to buying their car, simply because it is the quickest and easiest option the majority of the time, is taking the finance options available at the dealership where you buy your car. While in some cases this can work out well there are also some cons to consider. Taking a loan this way usually means that it isn’t the most competitive way and the salesman could pressure you to include add-ons to bump up the cost of the loan.

Another popular way and sometimes one which can work to your advantage especially if you take advantage of low interest rates is to go for a personal loan. By looking around online and comparing rates of interest, this is very usually the cheapest way to get car financing, one of the biggest benefits you can gain from going down this avenue is that with cash in hand you can usually get more discounts from the dealer if you pay cash outright. This however isn’t as convenient as taking finance through the dealership and means that you will have to have a figure in mind when it comes to requesting your personal loan.

When it comes to car financing without a doubt the best and first place you should to look is on the internet. Whichever type of insurance you go for you are able to get a huge amount of information and if you have decided to go for a personal loan then you can take advantage by getting several quotes for the cheapest rate of interest. It is important that you check out several because by doing so you will be able to make comparisons which ensures you are getting the best deal.

However always make sure that you know what the total amount of the loan will cost you in the end and also be aware that if you choose a bank from which to take your loan then most probably they will try adding optional payment protection insurance to the cost of the loan which can boost up the repayments a lot.

Online Discount Shoe Shopping

Shoes are a very important part of our wardrobe. The perfect pair of shoes can bring an outfit together.

Shoe shopping can be a very exhausting experience. There are thousands of different styles and colors to choose from, but for some, it is exciting to try on every one.

There are alternatives to running from store to store, comparing prices, finding parking and walking around until you are too tired to try on the shoes that you were so excited to shop for.

Online shoe shopping is becoming more popular because you can shop at your own pace, any time of the day or night.

There are many other benefits to online shoe shopping. You will be able to view more selections then the conventional method. When you do a Google search, you will yield millions of links to online shoe stores.

Another advantage to shoe shopping online is the incredible discount you can receive. Online shoe stores realize that the Internet is a very competitive world and will offer special sales, coupons and discounts for purchases made at their shop. You can get designer shoes at incredible prices.

Perhaps the biggest benefit in shoe shopping online is that you can compare prices with a click of your mouse.

Have you ever found the perfect pair of shoes and looked at the tag and said to yourself “I can find it cheaper somewhere else” just to find that you cannot and when you go to the original shoe store, the perfect pair of shoes have been sold already? When you shop online, you can find the same pair of shoes at different stores and compare prices within minutes.

It used to take hours or even the whole day to find a pair of shoes at an affordable price. With online shoe shopping, it only takes minutes.

Autoresponders 101

A difficulty that standard brick and mortar stores face is in providing follow-up to their customers. When you make a purchase a normal retailer your contact information might be used to send sales flyers or an invitation to a customer only event. There is very little personal contact with the customer although a growing number of these stores may ask for email address or other contact information to alert you to upcoming events.

With online marketing this scenario is quickly resolved through the use of autoresponders (sometimes referred to as auto responders). If someone sends your company an email an autoresponder can send a return email instantly to advise them that their question will be addressed very soon.

This idea has been expanded to include an autoresponder message when a customer concludes an online sale. Once the credit card information is completed and authorized an autoresponder message is executed that provides an immediate thank you for the sale and confirms their order. Generally these messages are in rich text (html) and can provide pictures, company logos and other unique design features. Customers will also find contact information and a tracking number in most cases.

Most opt-in mailing lists also provide autoresponder messages that welcome the new member and provide control functions for changing their subscription when they need to.

Online business can take advantage of the many uses for autoresponders by utilizing multiple email addresses for a variety of business applications. Each email address should be set aside for a specific business purpose so an autoresponder message can be put in place that is specific to the intended purpose of the email address.

One of the functions for an autoresponder is important for online business because they can independently send out a series of timed messages that provide a broad overview of your business and provide a welcomed means of learning more about your business.

In essence this means if you have a series of six messages that you plan on sending to customers over a six-week period, you can set up autoresponder software to automatically ship these six messages once a week for six weeks. On the same day your software could be sending out each of these six emails to customers who purchased from your online store at separate times. Autoresponders can take the guesswork out of follow up by insuring that every contact you receive will automatically receive a return email.

While this is a broad overview on the subject hopefully you gain an understanding that autoresponders provide a meaningful and many times multiple step mechanism for developing, maintaining and keeping your customers.

Bob Seger Tickets: IXS

Bob Seger developed into one of the most popular heartland rockers over the course of the ’70s. Originally He was a hard-driving rocker in the vein of fellow Michigan garage rockers the Rationals and Mitch Ryder. He successfully created a unique American Sound which was actually the combination of the driving charge of Ryder’s Detroit Wheels with Stonesy garage rock and devotion to hard-edged soul and R&B(http://events.ixs.net/R-B-Soul.aspx ). Inspite of many lost opportunities of the initial Years of his career, Seger finally achieved a national audience in 1976 with the back-to-back release of his albums Live Bullet and Night Moves. These two Albums were a superb success which helped Seger in retaining his popularity for the coming two decades, releasing seven Top Ten, platinum-selling albums in a row.

Seger shown his interest in music in his early age. He began playing music in 1961 as the leader of the Detroit-based trio the Decibels; his future manager, Eddie “Punch” Andrews was also a member of the band. Moving to Ann Arbor, he played with the Town Criers before he became the keyboardist and vocalist for Doug Brown & the Omens. The band released “The Ballad of the Yellow Beret,” that was parody of the Sgt. Barry Sadler song “The Ballad of the Green Beret.” However, It proved a set back for them when Sadler threatened a lawsuit against this song.Resultantly, The single was withdrawn shortly after its release.

The First Solo Single of Seger was “East Side Story, which was released in 1966. This song gained huge popularity and soon it became a regional hit. Many other local hit singles followed on Cameo Records, including “Persecution Smith” and “Heavy Music,” before his label folded. The Year 1968 was very important in the Career of Bob Seger as in this year, He successfully formed the Bob Seger System and got the golden opportunity of signing with the reknowned Capitol Records. His debut album, Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man, was released by Capitol Records in the spring of this eventual year. The title track met a grand success and it became a national hit, climbing to number 17.

Seger achieved a commercial breakthrough with his 1976 album Night Moves which featured several hits including the highly evocative title song. Night Moves became a blockbuster, generating the hit singles “Night Moves,” “Mainstreet,” and “Rock & Roll Never Forgets.” Stranger in Town, released in the summer 1978, was just as successful, featuring the hits “Still the Same,” “Hollywood Nights,” “We’ve Got Tonite,” and “Old Time Rock & Roll.” His most recognizable songs are almost certainly “Old Time Rock & Roll” (featured in the film Risky Business) and “Like a Rock” (most familiar to many younger Americans through its association with a long-running Chevrolet ad campaign). Seger also co-wrote the Eagles #1 hit song “Heartache Tonight” from their 1979 album The Long Run.

Keeping in view of his grand successes, Seger was acknowledged as America’s most popular rockers. Seger’s next album, 1980’s Against the Wind, became his first number one album and all of its big hits — “Fire Lake,” “Against the Wind,” “You’ll Accomp’ny Me” — were ballads. The live album Nine Tonight continued his multi-platinum success in 1981, selling three million copies and peaking at number three.

Seger released his next popular Album “The Distance” in 1982.While The Distance featured “Shame on the Moon,” his biggest hit single to date, it had a record breaking sales of a million copies which shows his unmatched popularity.Seger also began to drastically reduce his recording and touring schedules — he only released one other album, 1986’s Like a Rock, during the ’80s. Like a Rock and its supporting tour were both successes, paving the way for “Shakedown,” a song taken from the soundtrack to Beverly Hills Cop II, to become Seger’s lone number one hit in 1987. Four years after its release, he returned with The Fire Inside. Although the album went platinum and reached the Top Ten, it only appealed to Seger’s devoted following, as did 1995’s It’s a Mystery, which became his first album since Live Bullet to fail to go platinum, leveling off at gold status.

Also during 2004, Seger was working on his first new album in 10 years, titled Face the Promise which was released on September 12, 2006. The first single, “Wait For Me”, landed on radio in July.

The Encyclopedia of Rock And Roll stated that “His throaty, authoritative delivery is a pleasure to listen to, and the Silver Bullet Band is superb.”

Why eMarketing Matters

The Internet has long since passed the buzzword stage of business adaptation. It is now recognized as an integral part of any new successful business venture. While the Internet’s business value has become ubiquitous in industry journals and classroom texts, very few businesses truly understand why successful eMarketing, and not simply a Web presence, may be the true path to Internet business nirvana.

“If you build it, they will come” only works in the movies

In this respect doing business on the Internet is no different than its brick and mortar counter-part. It’s not the old-school business 101 mantra of “location, location, location”, but rather the new-school mantra of “visibility, visibility, visibility.” Of the billions of pages existing in the Internet’s ethereal online universe only 16% are indexed by search engines (source: Web Developer’s Journal). This is in high contrast to the 73% of customers who use search engines to find new Web sites (source: Jupiter Media). If your potential customers can’t locate your site it becomes that much more difficult for them to purchase your services or goods.

However, search engines aren’t the only way to drive traffic to your site. A successful eMarketing approach will be integrated to drive traffic through multiple channels. Press releases can drive interested consumers from online news placements, white papers will help turn researchers into purchasers, online advertising (banner ad’s, newsletter sponsorships, etc.) can entice prospective clients from other sites to browse your wares as well, viral marketing and Web-based guerrilla marketing campaigns can bring tremendous brand awareness and drive results, but are a notoriously finicky audience. Businesses with established customer relationships, especially in the b2c realm, can repeatedly tap their existing client base to drive new traffic and increase sales through active e-mail engagements that entice customer’s to make impulse purchases multiple times throughout the year.

Businesses can also effectively use offline ad campaigns to drive new visitors to your site. This is inherently a bit more difficult as you are requiring customers to remember your Web site address, which is not always easy. The most effective offline campaigns are integrated with online campaigns to take a comprehensive approach to customer engagement. A targeted direct mailing with personalized e-mail and telephone follow-ups that drive clients to a Web-based demo of services will ultimately attain much better results than the more limited traditional mail-only approach.

In short there is more to eMarketing than a Web site presence and an integrated eMarketing approach is the only way to ensure that your business reaches the widest possible target audience and successfully achieves online nirvana.

Warning! Buying MLM Leads Can Be Hazardous To Your Pocketbook

The information in this Report could make or break your chances of success with your current company.

In MLM or Network Marketing 1,000’s if not hundreds of thousands of good faith independent MLM reps have been miss-informed and miss-trained on how to build a successful MLM business.

When a new person enrolls with a MLM company one of the first things that they are asked to do is to make a list of everyone that they know or knew in the past and come up with a list of 100, 200, 300, or even a list of a 1,000 names of people that they can contact about their new home based business opportunity.

This is usually an over whelming task and most people start getting discouraged about this before they even get started.

The other problem with this is, that most people getting into a MLM home based business have never had any business experience before or had any training in marketing that will help them to know how to properly approach these friends about a home based business opportunity.

On top of that, the person who recruited them may be in the same position (untrained) and this person is expected to help them make calls to their list to help recruit them.

This starts a No Win situation and both people usually get frustrated and drop out of the business. Does this sound a little familiar?

For those who survive this part of the process and eventually stumble through their list, usually embarrassing themselves in front of their friends and family, what do they do next after they run out of friends and family to call on?

Well of course, they start looking for ways to buy opportunity seeker leads, opt-in MLM Leads, phone verified MLM leads, area code specific MLM leads, TV generated MLM leads, and so on.

Great Idea….. or Is It?

Well, if you love to:

-spend your hard earned money and not reap any positive results

-make calls for hours on end instead of spending time doing what you want to do

-talk to people who filled out the form that were looking for an hourly job instead of a business,

-talk to people who have No ambition and No money to invest,

-talk to people who actually filled out the form because it promised a FREE I-Pod if they did,

-talk to people who want you to do all the work for them if they get in,

-spend more money on leads then you’ll ever make with your business,

Then MLM leads are exactly what you need to be using.

If you don’t like these results, keep reading, there is a solution.

The only people who really benefit from these leads are the people generating these mlm leads and then selling them to you.

I know, you’ve heard the stories of the guy who bought these leads, made the phone calls and Whamo, he ends up recruiting KING KONG and makes a zillion dollars, but that doesn’t happen very often.

If you don’t learn to work this business smart and learn the actual techniques that the Top Producers use, the chances of making it big in this industry are about as good as you getting struck by lightning.

I know you hear the stories of some guy who gets into the business and WOW in 2 months he made a $100,000. I can guarantee you that the story behind the story is that this guy spent years perfecting his recruiting techniques and spent years building a list of loyal followers that when he found this great new business he was able to immediately contact his established list and because they trusted him and are convinced to move on the opportunity quickly, BOOM he builds a huge group super fast.

I know, you want to believe that will happen to you, but you need to do some planning and work first. If your not willing to put in the time, work, planning, and massive action it takes to succeed in this business or any other business, you might as well give up now and get a job.

But, if the dream of residual income, complete time freedom, quitting the job you hate, and living the dream you’ve been hearing about is something you have a burning desire for, the only reason you don’t have it now is because there is still something you need to learn.

So, make the decision to educate yourself about this industry.
